Hackers compromises official emergency alert apps in Ukraine and Russia
Unknown attackers compromised Ukraine’s Air Alert app and Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations app on consecutive nights, sending false nuclear, radiation and chemical threat warnings. Both countries said their broader emergency-alert systems remained operational, and it is unclear whether the two attacks were connected.
